Using ISAN in UK DPP – ISAN

AMWA AS-11 is the format used by UK DPP for the delivery of of content to UK broadcasters. It is a subset of MXF for the delivery of finished programming from producers & distributors to broadcast stations.

ISAN is carried in AS-11 in the "Other Identifier" field of the UK DPP metadata

Other Identifier carries an ISAN encoded as a URN according to RFC 4246
Other Identifier Type should be set to the value "ISAN"

If multiple identifiers, including an ISAN, are carried in the Other Identifier field of the UK DPP metadata:

The Other Identifier field should be a list of identifiers separated by the character "&"(ampersand). One of the identifiers should be the ISAN encoded as a URN as specified in RFC 4246. The identifiers cannot contain the character "&".
The Other Identifier Type field should be a list of identifier type separated by the character "&", written in the same order as the identifiers in Other Identifier field. The ISAN shall be identified with the value "ISAN".
