Registrants can update anytime the metadata associated to their ISAN or Project ISAN. This is even required for Projects ISAN before activation and useful for active ISAN to add for example a new alternate title when the content is distributed in a new country.
Note: a registrant cannot update the metadata associated to an ISAN registered by another registrant. However, registrants can ask to their registration agency for updates in case of errors or missing information. |
Warning: Metadata changes shall only serve to enrich or correct the information associated to the ISAN. It is not allowed to fully change the metadata of an active ISAN (or Project ISAN) so that it identifies another audiovisual work. |
1 Find the ISAN or Project ISAN
The process that follows is the same for ISAN and Project ISAN.
The first step is to find the record to update; to do so open this list that corresponds to your situation:
for a work in Project or in development open My Projects list |
for a finished work (active ISAN) open My ISAN list
|
Thereafter, search for the record to update (active work or project in development depending on which list you are).
In the Action menu (see the red box in the above screenshot) click on Edit to update the ISAN data.
You can for example click on Add Group (see the red box in the above screenshot) to attach the Episode to an existing Episode Group
To preview you changes before saving, click on (bottom of the screen)
Don’t forget to save your changes in the Preview screen; to do so click on (bottom of the screen)
2 Alternative: You know the ISAN, perform an ISAN Lookup
Open the Search from the Menu
Enter the ISAN number in the ISAN field and click on Search
You can also Edit the ISAN after a metadata search from the Search Menu. |
